Tanksforsale has a choice of little used (less than 500km!) surplus BMP1 APCs for sale in the UK.

The vehicles available were from the first batch of vehicles to be relaesed and have seen very little use and are very complete. Please compare the quality of our vehicles to the various Gulf War trophy vehicles offered elsewhere which are generally worn out, and in very poor condition.

The BMP-1 is fitted with a UTD 20 flat 6 water cooled engine, which gives impressive performance. The performance is like a racehorse in comparison to the more sedatory British FV432....However this is reflected in the price which is considerably more.

The BMP1 for an APC had considerable firepower The 73mm smooth bore gun fired a round derived from the RPG-7 with a stub case, A co-axial MG was fitted and above the main gun a SAGGER Anti Tank missile rail was fitted. The turret features an auto-loader and is transversed and elevated either manually, or with a Gameboy - type electronic control (Great Fun!). The equipment is present on all veicles sold.

In the rear compartment each crew member has their own individual firing position with gun port,periscope and fume extractor.

The vehicle was designed as amphibious (I cannot gaurentee or warrent that this works), and can be prepared for amphibious operation within 30seconds.

The driving position is very good and conventional controls make for a very easy and fun vehicle to drive. Not the cheapest vehicle, but certainly a great vehicle to own!
